Vietnam’s woes: Why has this Southeast Asian country become such a haven for foreigners

Many people like to travel to places close to home, such as Vietnam. The price of Vietnam is very low, the labor force is also very cheap, so many people go there to visit, can feel the local tourism resources are very rich, but also can spend a lot of money and shopping in the local. But Vietnam is still relatively backward. Vietnamese women in particular have a very low status. They may not have a decent job and earn much money back home, so many may go astray. Over time, a job called the Vietnamese Bride appeared in Vietnam, and these brides were basically bought. Sold to other countries, married to foreigners.

The general status of Vietnamese girls is very low, they in the country, in addition to bear the responsibility of reproduction, but also as the breadwinner, bear the family’s living expenses, the pressure is very great. This has led to the emergence of international marriage agencies in Vietnam. These Vietnamese women may be bought and married to other countries, Vietnamese women are relatively cheap, and people from other countries who want to get married may face very high economic pressure and pay very high betrothal price, so they choose to buy these Vietnamese women. But these Vietnamese women, married to other countries, because of the language barrier, relatively low status, often life is very hard.

There is also a grey industry in Vietnam. Because the price of goods is very cheap in Vietnam, Vietnamese women may have a very low status in the local area and not earn much money. Especially in Vietnam factories, relatively serious wage withholding. So these women, forced by the reality of life, helpless will engage in some grey trading. They will sell their flesh to get a certain amount of money. Because the price of Vietnam is very cheap, when some foreigners come to Vietnam, especially some foreign male tourists, they can get their own physiological comfort at a very cheap price. The money they pay is a lot for these Vietnamese women.

Vietnamese women may earn a modest amount of money through the industry, much more than they would earn in back-breaking processing jobs, but the work is hardly socially acceptable. But in this kind of work, women usually have no dignity. And that money is not protected by the government. But as Vietnam’s economy has grown, the government has realized the problem, and the country has banned the sex trade. Hopefully, in the near future, Vietnam’s economy will continue to develop and its laws will continue to improve to protect the health and safety of local women.

Women in the world may not have the same status as men. The more developed the country, perhaps women’s status will be higher, the more backward the country, women’s status is usually not respected. In fact, this phenomenon is very sad. In some developed countries in Europe and the United States, because of the relatively developed economy, women’s status is very high, and the personality is very free. They will not sell their flesh or do something against their conscience because of some practical problems. They will do things according to their interests. However, most people are generally very kind, and when they realize that women’s rights in Vietnam are violated, they also call on society to punish those involved in pornography severely. In Vietnam, it is also illegal and criminal.

We should fulfill the due responsibilities and obligations of every citizen, not to do illegal and criminal things, but also to protect the interests of every woman, to protect the health and safety of women, to be able to impose severe punishment on those involved in pornography. In a word, Vietnam is a very special country. The status of women in Vietnam is very low. They basically don’t earn money, some of them may be because of money interests, sold abroad, life is very messy. There are also some local women, who because of the cost of family life, have to engage in some sex work, is also very poor.
